Umut Kaan KAVAKLI (Graduate student at Saarland University Data Science and Artificial Ingelligence): 2024 graduate of Eskişehir Technical University, Computer Engineering Department. Former research assistant at the AI in Healthcare Lab and teaching assistant for the AI in Healthcare course (2023-204). His research contributions to our laboratory are "Addressing Class Imbalance in Covid-19 Lesion Segmentation" and "Covid-19 Lesion Segmentation with Self-Training".
Onur HAKTAN (Software Engineer at Yapi Kredi Technology): 2024 graduate of Eskişehir Technical University, Computer Engineering Department. As part of his thesis, he and his teammate developed explainable AI-based models that detect eye diseases from fundus images. This work was awarded first place at the 17th Project Fair and Competition of Eskişehir Technical University and was presented at the Engineering Sciences and Research Student Congress held at Ankara Atılım University.
Emirhan SARP (Data Engineer at TUSAŞ Engine Industries): 2024 graduate of Eskişehir Technical University, Computer Engineering Department. His research was exploring the utilization of explainable AI techniques for the detection of lung diseases. His project was supported by TUBITAK-2209-A Research Project Support Programme for Undergraduate Students.
İlayda Su İRDAY (Data Scientist at Allianz): 2024 graduate of Eskişehir Technical University, Computer Engineering Department. Her research was exploring the utilization of explainable AI techniques for the detection of lung diseases. Her project was supported by TUBITAK-2209-A Research Project Support Programme for Undergraduate Students.
Ebru Şara BAĞCA: 2023 Computer Engineering graduate of Eskişehir Technical University with interests in computer vision, image processing, and machine learning. She successfully led the project titled "AutoBUS: AI-based Mobile App for Recognizing Bus Route Numbers for Visually Impaired Individuals". The project was supported by TUBITAK-2209 A Research Project Support Programme for Undergraduate Students. The project also reached the final stage of the Barrier-free Living Technologies Competition at Teknofest-2023.
Ayşegül TERZİ (Software Engineer at Havelsan): 2024 graduate of Eskişehir Technical University, Computer Engineering Department. Her research interests include computer vision, image processing and machine learning. Her research efforts contributed to the laboratory project "Intesive Care Unit Admission Prediction for Covid-19 Patients with Chest X-ray Analysis".
Özge ÇİÇEK (Developer at Anadolu University): 2024 graduate of Eskişehir Technical University, Computer Engineering Department. Her research interest is machine learning-based smartphone applications for mobile health. Her master thesis title is "Machine Learning-based Model Development in Mobile Health Applications and Device-Cloud Deployment".
